| Summary: |
Project Safe Neighborhoods is a nationwide commitment to reduce gun crime in America by networking existing local programs that target gun crime and providing these programs with additional tools necessary to be successful. The PSN outreach effort has launched three public service announcement (PSA) campaigns with the tagline “Gun Crimes Hit Home.” The campaigns use radio, television, and print media to show the effects of gun crime on families and to stress the consequence of jail time for gun crime offenders. The outreach effort also provides seven Web banners to aid the PSN effort. These banners are an easy way to show support for and increase awareness of PSN and its goals. |
